Arab Parliament delegation to participate in int'l conf. on religions dialogue, cultures in Egypt

CAIRO -10 March 2020: A delegation of the Arab Parliament headed by speaker Adel el Assoumi will participate in the 31st conference of the Supreme Council of Islamic Affairs at Awqaf Ministry in Egypt on March 13-14 held under the rubric “dialogue of religions and cultures.”
The participation of the delegation comes at an invitation of Egyptian Awqaf Minister Mohamed Mokhtar Gomaa.
Ina statement on Wednesday, Assoumi asserted the importance of this conference which comes in response to a call launched by President Abdel Fattah El Sisi on starting an international dialogue to lay down the humanitarian dialogue policy.
Assoumi pointed out this conference comes at a time humanity need to lay down the concept of dialogue and build the values of tolerance and respect for communities and their different cultures.
Assoumi voiced deep trust that the rich issues included in the sessions of this conference will make it an important turning point in asserting the value of dialogue between religions and cultures.
A host of international figures of religion, politics, and media will participate in the event.
